Finally! It had to be on a day that is historical in itself (Martin
Luther King Jr.'s Birthday Celebration) to be able to make history! I just
created a blog! Although I cannot even pronounce the word BLOG here I am
trying to post!! It has taken me forever to create this blog and now it all
seems so simple!
First lesson:

¿Por qué estoy haciendo esto?
Why
am I
doing
this?
Simply because I’m fortunate to be one of 20 educators who are going on this
trip during February vacation! Our reasons to go? To discover, to learn,
to exchange our culture with
Costa Ricans
(from now on referred to them as
‘los ticos’) and
bring back all lessons learned; hopefully we’ll also bring a new perspective in
the way we see education, the environment and another form of government.
What do los ticos value?
Are they different than us ‘Americans’? How are we the same? I am
hoping through research and our visit we/I will be able to answer some of these
questions. I welcome you to follow my blog and ask me about things you might
want to know about this interesting Central American country. I promise to look
for the answer if I don’t know it and I will get back to you as soon as I can
possibly can.
